*Special Program* Tapping into the Social Capital of Civic-Minded Seniors

Wednesday, August 02, 2017 10:00 am - 11:30 am  ET
In-person | Washington, DC

The presentation will review key statistics on the many accomplished professionals approaching or at retirement age; 11,000 turning 65 every day and 21M interested in “encore” careers. This information will be mirrored against the growing needs of nonprofits and public service organizations for more capacity and greater impact on limited budgets.
Building upon these demographics and opportunities, we explore how ReServe skillfully leverages individuals 55+ in nonprofit/social sector environments.  The presentation will review how ReServe is structured, what we offer and the innovative ways organizations can access and utilize 55+ talent.  We will include a discussion around how attendees can cross-walk their own talent needs with the development of meaningful opportunities for this talent pool, recruitment strategies, and what is necessary to engage as well as retain mature, civic-minded professionals. There will be ample time for audience questions and engagement, with the aim of helping attendees walk out the door with concrete solutions and action plans to meet their organizations’ workforce needs as well as enhance their organization’s social impact.
