Every grant writer tries to sell their organization’s mission, approach, and results to a new or existing funder. Using simple, straightforward language to make your point, demonstrate effective team leadership, and share program results is necessary but can be boring. How can you create an exciting grant proposal that stands out from all the others using the same approach? Adding photos, videos, and stories helps your readers visualize your impact, the community you serve, and how you are changing lives. Learn how to give your proposal (and your organization) the personal touch and genuineness it deserves.
Can’t make the webinar? Register and we will send you the full recording so you can watch it on your own time!

Outcomes: Upon completion of this webinar you should be able to:

  • Identify 5 ways you can strengthen your organization’s proposal writing
  • Develop a plan for securing compelling visuals, quotes, testimonials, and program outcomes
  • Build an internal team to systematically collect these assets for regular proposal and report development

 Intended Audience:

  • Executive Directors
  • Development Officers
  • Grant Writers

Presenter: Stephanie Arcella

Stephanie Arcella

Co-founder and lead fundraising counsel of TakeTwo Services, Stephanie is a licensed social worker and a seasoned fundraiser – a unique professional combo. This gives her a deep understanding and knowledge of nonprofit work combined with twelve solid years of experience in successfully building and strengthening funding bases. Her expertise ranges from strategies to help small organizations grow their budgets beyond $500,000 to working on teams charged with raising millions for national and international organizations. She has done it all – grants management, online giving, event planning, and major gifts programs and campaigns. At TakeTwo, she brings a fundraising “eye” and strategy to meet every client’s needs.

Presenter: Bix Gabriel

As co-founder and chief of communications at TakeTwo Services, Bix Gabriel provides overall communications strategy to nonprofits. Bix started her career as a copywriter in advertising, but found that selling toothpaste didn’t quite measure up to the thrill of telling stories about transforming people’s lives. She switched to working for nonprofits, helping to fulfill both her passion and their missions, by crafting clear and powerful communications. With more than fifteen years of experience helping nonprofits – large and small, local and international – communicate their causes and create lasting impact, Bix now primarily focuses on developing overarching external relations strategies, and implementing them from start to finish. She brings the creative communications lens to all TakeTwo’s work.
